What's happening at Namecheap on July 11?
Starting July 11, Namecheap will stop selling new Sectigo SSL certificates and renewals. Those who want to buy a Sectigo SSL certificate from this time forward will have to rely on another authorised reseller or opt for other certificate providers provided by Namecheap.
Will my current Sectigo SSL certificate be invalidated?
NO: Any Sectigo SSL certificate that has been bought before the change will be valid until the expiration date. It does not impact certificates that are installed and active. It only applies to future buys and renewals.
Will Namecheap offer a service to renew my Sectigo SSL certificate?
No. After the transition, it will no longer be possible to renew using the Sectigo SSL certificate provided by Namecheap. If you wish to continue to use Sectigo certificates, then they will need to be renewed with another authorised Sectigo reseller like Certera.com.
Why is Namecheap discontinuing the Sectigo SSL certificates?
