How To Install SSL Certificate on FileZilla Server?

How To Generate a CSR?

How to Install an SSL certificate on a FileZilla Server?
Step 1: Prepare Files for Installation
After receiving the email, download and unzip the archive. Extract all its content and make sure you have all these files:
- Server Certificate (.pem): If you have not yet received it by email, you can easily download it from your Account Dashboard by locating your order.
- Intermediate or Chain Certificates (.ca-bundle): When you receive your certificate in a zip folder, it may contain multiple intermediate certificates. The folder containing these certs is also called a CA Bundle.
- Private Key: If you use a free generator tool to create a CSR, then you should have possession of this file, or it should be on your server. However, some platforms, such as Microsoft IIS, may not display the private key immediately, but it is still being tracked.
Step 2: Install the SSL Certificate on FileZilla Server
Follow the steps mentioned below to install the SSL cert on the FileZilla server:
- Open the FileZilla server and go to FileZilla server Options.
- Click Edit.
- From the list, select Settings.
- The FileZilla Server Options window will appear.
- In the FileZilla Server Options window, perform the following steps:
- In the left pane, click SSL/TLS settings.
- In the right pane, check the checkbox in front of the Enable FTP over SSL/TLS support (FTPS) option.
- Click Browse and locate the Private key file on your device.
- Click Browse and locate the Certificate file on your device.
- Type the Key password in the Key password field if necessary.
- Click OK and restart the server.
