Are there any Risks associated with using a Wildcard SSL certificate?

If one subdomain gets compromised, attackers can get unauthorized access to all subdomains.
Wildcard is not available with the EV option. DV and OV validation levels may not meet the security needs of enterprises that manage or handle sensitive data.
